LECTURES ON MENTAL HEALTH PROMOTION

 

The Society of Preventive Psychiatry and the Hellenic Psychiatric Association organized a series of lectures on Mental Health Promotion which took place from 21 October, 2017 to 12 November, 2017 with high audience turnout at the B & M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music.

The aim of the lectures on Mental Health Promotion was to familiarize the audience with the concepts and techniques of psychiatric prevention and of mental health promotion. Prevention is intended to prevent illness, while promotion aims at maintaining our health, at strengthening our psychological well-being and at improving the quality of life. Particular reference was made to the need to promote mental health in times of crisis.
